A dancers' look gets resurrected every few years.  Today the word on the fashion buying street is that leggings and stockings are making a come back.  On a recent visit to Coterie (which is one of the most important buying experiences during the year), I noticed ladies covering their bare legs with their summer frocks. During the fall, women wear warm clothing in most parts of the world, yet we are not quite daft enough to transfer our long dresses back into the closet because of global warming.  It really doesn't matter anyway.  Fashion moves so quickly, we might as well create our own interpretations on the must haves so as to not automatically move into a new wardrobe.  I would like to see us spin a scantily clad outfit consisting of lovely thong gladiator flats, sexy little mini, Join our fav' leggings, tights and leg warmers. 

One of my earliest blogs mentioned a college aged woman on the subway wore a cute schoolgirl tartan plaid mini with a set of leg warmers and flip flops.  Today I saw several women in varied styles, wearing the heck out of the tights.  Can I just say, " I love it"!  I am reminded of a dancer's sleekness.  Even if we are not as thin as they are, a nice shoe and tights makes us look long and sexy.  I failed to see any peeping toes, but I do like the shot because my subject brought it down to cover her ankles and heels only.....

Maybe tutus are on their way back soon too, I did hear that dance tickets, and schools are both in demand.
