A circa 1977 tote is both funky and unique.  Refashioning the era of well constructed / lovingly detailed craftsmanship.  What could I be talking about? It is my treasured red suede little feet purse...from legendary Yve St.Laurent Rive Gauche. My most prized recent birthday gift that beats any gift card.  It was most likely made for the professional woman at the time of women's liberation. And speaking of the person designing it, he was by far the foxiest French Atelier of this time and anybody buying his wears must have been special. He planned his client after the chic sophisticated strong female he knew would appreciate his pant suites and briefcases .  He looked to her as a model of the future woman.  And he was right.  Now some 30 something years later, his original designs are making a come back and anybody sporting anything with his brand, is making a killing.  A chance you would even  find a perfect mint conditioned tote on E-bay would cost you up to about $2000 dollars.  I am not auctioning mine nor would lend it for editorials.  No sir, this is my new boyfriend and I will take it to every Holiday Party from now till I loose it.  Heavens forbid.
