Antiques stand the test of fashion trends
After a night of socialites adorned and bejeweled in high fashion, its a refreshing feeling to note that crowds still love antique jewelry. At the Art and Antique Show taking place this weekend at the Armory on Park Avenue and 67 Street, I rediscovered why I originally became a costume designer. The gorgeous Cartier and Tiffany from the 30's and 40's are definitely stronger than ever. Respectively to the new designers of today, these jewels will never loose their luster because their craftsmen were nothing short of genius. And, after decades of shoppers buying newer versions although still very expensive pieces, these in particular are still very cool. Below are showcases of both collections from Camilla Dietz Bergeron, LTD.

I fell in love with these pieces of art at the VIP event ...

Since it was art week in New York City, it seemed everyone came out decked in Issac Mizrahi and Herrera gowns. Me- I showed up in my Miss Sixty crotchet peasant top, leggings and thigh high vintage Italian lambskin leather boots I bought for $4.00 at a Salvation Army in a downtown LA neighborhood.
But ask me if I care?
