Designing another fashion collection under an established brand / umbrella company is hard enough. But, the undertaking of creating a new fashion platform to showcase the goods that changes the game, has proved even more challenging. But, heck... I am a risk taker and don't care how hard it is. I hope my moves don't stress me down, but it helps to keep an ongoing education. Even more, I bring new blood to the game.  Stacking up with opinions and ideas is just not enough, you have to measure your marketability.  Study your skills and be good at that but also be open to allow yourself to merge to innovation.  Meanwhile, I am not afraid of getting shot down, because having been a designer for motion pictures for many years, I was constantly told I didn't get the gig for some reason or another...Hence, I kept at it, until finally my timing was just right.  I got into the IATSI Costume Designer Guild of America in 2001 because I stuck with it and even when I was told that my style and designs were really different, I had to trust and belief of my Director and DP along with Producers that championed my skills to produce products.
